Adding to a Magazine Description

For some of the magazine titles on our websites we are now including a general description of the title for the benefit of people who have not come across it before. Note that this is a description of the magazine title (ie. Practical Classics, Boat International, Model Boats etc) rather than a description of any individual magazine issue.

If you are knowledgable about a particular magazine title why not write a description for us to add to the website?

If the website already includes a description of the title in question please feel free to amend that description or add any new information that you think should be included. If no description is yet displayed then create a new one from scratch and we will add it to the website.

Examples of some things a description might include:

  • - Subjects covered in the magazine
  • - Target market (who is a typical reader? - eg, young, old, beginner, expert)
  • - Style of the magazine (serious or light-hearted; brief picture-based features or long in-depth technical articles?)
  • - History of the magazine

Shown below are examples of magazine descriptions as they appear on the websites. A very short description initilly appears (first screen below), which is usually the first sentence of the full description; the user clicks a link to read the full description on it's own page (second screen below), which allows the full description to be as long and detailed as required.
